I am driven to do my utmost to empower individuals to live meaningful, dignified lives while supporting communities to grow and thrive sustainably for generations to come.  I love bringing people together to solve difficult problems.  And I love digging into issues to make connections between ideas that can be used creatively in different contexts.

I have 20 years of international legal experience through varied roles, including the public sector, private practice, academia, and nonprofits.  For the past 12 years, I was a lawyer and foreign service officer for USAID in Egypt, Afghanistan, Burma, and South America, advising on projects in sectors such as sustainable economic growth, alternative development, agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, gender equality, governance, and rule of law.  My previous experience with Cleary Gottlieb has provided me with an invaluable foundation in complex transactions that I have leveraged to innovate financial mechanisms for development.  I have a strong track record of providing legal analysis to senior leaders facing complex challenges, including closing civic spaces and democratic backsliding, armed conflict, natural disasters, and institutional restructuring.  Throughout my career, I have consistently worked across legal systems and cultural contexts, balancing legal analysis with practical and timely solutions. I am equally comfortable in boardrooms, government ministries and field settings, and bring excellent problem-solving skills developed over years of international legal practice.
